Silke Hammermeister worked in the district administration in departments including Social Affairs, Citizens' Services and, from 2001, Human Resources. There, the 50-year-old got to know the most diverse areas of HR services.
Since 2013, she has managed a wide range of tasks within the scope of personnel and organizational development, such as recruitment procedures, training and further training, company integration management, organizational investigations, equality plans, personnel development concepts, process management and job evaluation procedures.
"I have known and valued Ms Hammermeister for years as a committed employee of the district administration. With her skills, she is an ideal addition to the management team of the district police authority. I wish her all the best in her new management role," explains District Administrator and Head of the Police Department Dr. Axel Lehmann.
Since 28 February 2020, Silke Hammermeister has headed the three departments of the Central Tasks Directorate at the Lippe District Police Authority with a total of around 50 employees. In addition to personnel, budgetary and various administrative matters, the directorate also processes weapons licenses and assembly registrations for the district of Lippe. Other responsibilities of this directorate include looking after IT technology and systems, vehicle matters and providing police officers with the necessary equipment.
"Managing the Central Tasks Directorate is an exciting and varied challenge. Due to the current corona crisis, we in the administration have also been particularly challenged and have implemented measures to maintain the health of all employees. I am delighted to be able to support the authority during this unusual time and in the future," says Hammermeister.
